A couple quick things

I haven't gone over 8 or 9 miles in almost two months now, and it felt pretty good on Monday afternoon. It was pouring down rain (which I was looking forward to) but stopped about 15 minutes into my two hour run. I didn't feel any cramping or fatigue or even any mental lows. Hopefully, it will help to break the training slump I've been in since the spring semester ended. I was addmitedly a little sore right after the run, and some of my hamstrings are still a tight, but otherwise I feel good. 12.5 miles at a 9:20 pace...and Steven just told me the other day that I don't seem to ever lose anything :D Like I said though, I may have been able to keep pace, but my body paid a little more for it.

I am loving this rain! Three of the last five runs I've done have been while it's raining. It's the easiest way to beat this summer heat while you're out running. I know it won't last here in Texas though.

It's just over 10 miles from my house to the community college (Eastfield). I've planned to start riding my bike there and back everyday for my 1930-2130 Accounting class. I think it'll work great until my internship starts up, then I don't know if the timing will be right. I've thought about riding to and from City Hall to Eastfield right after work if the times are close enough. Basically I'll drive to work, get off work and bike to school, then bike back to work, then drive home. I'm just dissappointed that I probably won't get the same amount of mileage on the bike. I was getting pretty excited at the idea of saving myself almost 100 gallons of gas a week by riding my bike. I would just ride to work too if the dress code wasn't business casual, AND they didn't mind me smelling.

We'll see how it all goes!
