Down, but not out

So I've mentioned having this pain in the left side of my chest since late last week and it is really starting to hamper my training now. It's usually starts up when I begin anything aerobic, (then sometimes at night when I lay down to go to bed) then slowly goes away once I stop. I don't know what it's from, but I'm going to request an echocardiogram when I go in for my next cancer check-up (which I'm overdue for).

I got more than a little spooked when I checked out my chest pain on WebMD and found an article mentioning heart disease as a common long-term side effect of cancer treatments. I'm just past my two-year anniversary and I'd be pretty upset if I found out something was wrong with me. I guess that's why I'm a little anxious about scheduling my appointment.

So long story short, I may not be doing anymore serious training until I know what's wrong with me for sure. In the meantime I'm going to try and find other worthwile, running related things to blog about. Wish me luck!

Chris, I hope nothing is bad with you and it's a scare at most. Check it in, take good care!
