5 miles in 44:30 (8:54 pace)
It was a pretty hot run this morning. Not overcast and rainy like it has been the past few weeks. Of course, I say that now and it will surely be overcast later in the day. I figure it's good for me though if I'm ever going to get myself acclimated to running in the hotter temperatures. It was a good run though on a beautiful July 4th morning. A couple years ago I did a "Race to the Flagpole 8K" with my brother, but decided against it this year.

awww I miss that hat. You haven't worn it in forever. You should send it to me, and I'll get you a new Army hat from up here ;) Hope you liked the fireworks last night! They wouldn't let me ruck, told me I couldn't violate my profile. And running again for real started up my knees again, so the APFT tomorrow is gonna be spectacular. Someone's tellin me I wasn't born to run, I swear! Bring on the heat!
