Another week down

So I didn't cover many miles this past week since I'm having a little pain in my left shin. I don't want to make it worse, and I'm notorious for trying to train through an injury without giving it enough time to heal. Instead, I did tons of cross-training and weights. I finally got back in the pool for some deep water running, which I normally save for just when I'm injured. I'm still recovering from that initial soreness of working different muscles you haven't worked in a while. I didn't lif weights ALL summer, so I've got to get back on top of it. For example, I was doing killer ab workouts last Spring, but now I'm soft and pudgey again.

The hair growing on my face is killing me. It itches, and makes my face feel gross. I've had to start trimming it off my upper lip now, and I feel like I'm always getting food caught in it when I take big bites. I keep hoping eventually it will start to feel normal, but either way I'm stuck with it until January. I haven't decided if I'll cut it right BEFORE or right AFTER the race. Well, I'll try to post a picture of it soon for all to see.

This week I'm going to try to add some of the miles back. I'm thinking I'll do 2-5 milers this week and go back up to a 15 miler this weekend for 20 total. I'll try to keep the cross-training equal with what I did last week too. I figure if I'm slacking on miles, I have to make up for it with some pretty serious conditioning.

have you tried to use some conditioning stuff on your beard? i mean if it makes hair soft, wouldn't it make your beard hair soft too?

ive been using my shampoo/conditioner on it, which helps for a little while, but barely worth it
