Cold One

1530

- 3.5 miles at 9:20 pace (avg 167 bpm)
- Several sets of varied ab exercises
- Run Info

It is freezing outside; but the temp. isn't half as bad as the wind chill while you're running into it. I thought I would be fine going out with shorts, and a long-sleeve technical shirt...wrong. My legs were so cold that I didn't even realize I was getting shin splints until the end of the first mile. I thought the skin on the back of my hands were gonna split. Most of my discomfort ended around 1.5, when I started making my way back to the house. By the time I finished, I felt pretty good about it, except that I had trouble keeping a reasonable pace. I kept wanting to speed up to get warm!

If it's warmer out tomorrow, I think I'll go for a bike ride. I'm gonna skip the Dallas White Rock Half Marathon on Saturday since I'm not in the best shape right now. Instead, I'm planning a 10 miler around town. I might hitch a ride to the run in the morning, just to support all my friends who ARE doing it.
