Run Info
Not too great of a run today. I had problems with my shins for about the first 5 miles. I didn't plan the route very well and just took off in one direction until I realized there was no way I would be able to make it back while staying under 15 miles total. I hit 15 and still had about 6 miles left to walk back to the campus. I had my cell phone on me so I decided to call my folks and chat for a while as I walked down highway 2818 with cars blowing past me. I brought my Golite Pulse Pack with me for the first time and it worked out pretty well. It held plenty of water, gels, and extra junk like my phone, and some money. I got back to the dorm, showered and grabbed some lunch with Alec. I was starving at that point because I hadn't eaten breakfast before running. Lastly, I started to feel burnt on my face and neck because I got started on the run so late in the morning.

Even though the run didn't go too smoothly, I still felt great when I got back (as I usually do). Although the route was too long, I still enjoyed the roads I took and plan on doing it again sometime. When I need to do a 20 mile run, it will be perfect!
