I woke up at 0400 this morning to my buzzing alarm. I jumped out of my loft bed as quickly as I could to turn it off so I didn't wake up Steven. I sat on the couch and ate a bowl of cereal before lacing up and heading out the door. I tried to follow last weekends route but it was still a little different. I could've stood to be a little more hydrated, but I got to refill my bottle about halfway at a water fountain in Wolf Pen Creek.
When I got to the George Bush Library I imagined how cool it would be if the the president had been staying in town and decided to go for a run as I was passing by and I got to run with him. That thought distracted me for about two miles before I realized I was ready to be done. When I got back I decided to run some stairs to work those glutes! Then I did some light upperbody in front of the dorm.
After my workout I showered and changed into something comfortable then grabbed a grapefruit from the room before going back outside to eat it while I watched the sun come up. It was pretty sweet...the sunrise I mean, not the grapefruit. After chilling out there for a while I came back upstairs and started making gold miner sandwiches for myself Steven and Valerie. Val finally passed her run on the PT test which is amazing considering she improved her run time by a little more than 5 minutes for a 1.5mi run after taking it three consecutive days in a row. To celebrate, Alec took her to O'bannons for a couple Irish Teas.I think I'm going to take a nap then set up the slackline when Val gets out of church. Next week I'll probably scale back my mileage a slightly.
